Confuse ? Which course to go ?

It's been 4 days since JAE started and everyday I get to see some students agonising over which course to select. Here are some of my advice to them. Hopefully, it may be of help to some of you.

1. Get ready your JAE booklet, course booklets, intake size info, etc
2. Cross out all courses which you are not eligible for.

3. Highlight those remaining courses which you have a passion for.
4. Cross out those you highlighted that has a COP that is (significantly) lower than your result
5. You may put these courses in your selection list

6. No particular passion ? Highlight those courses which you have read about or heard some course advisers talk about them AND you do not have any adverse distaste for them.
7. Cross out those you highlighted that has a COP that is (significantly) lower than your result
8. You may put these courses in your selection list

9. Now, you have a list of courses.
10. Go through the course description.
11. Go through the course modules and have some understanding of the module nature. This gives you an idea of what the course will be covering.
12. Look at the intake size of each course. Of course, there are many other factors to consider ie. job prospects, further education, blah blah blah ... (Might as well develop a program to churn out your selection ... just kidding)
13. Revise your selection list.
14. 1 more day to key in your selection :)

wow ... did not realise I am that long-winded. Well, all the best to your selection.
