Choosing Electives : Choose Wisely

Hi Year 1 Students, by now you have already been briefed on the course changes that will impact you in AY09. In a nutshell, Michael has explained to you that in Year 2, you will be able to select 4 "Prescribed Electives". What this means is that YOU can choose the modules that you would like to study. Isn't that great ? Yeah !!! Here are Michael's slides for your reference.

Hi Year 2 Students, you have also been briefed by yours truly here that it is time to choose your P5 Elective/Specialisation. Here are my slides for your reference.

As I mentioned to you, seek good counsel and choose wisely.

PS: Here are some briefing photos :)

Hello,

Refer to the second year module choices. If I am interested in a module, say, Software Engineering Practices, and, generally I like networking, how to choose leh?

thanks

Well, I think you should consider your interest in a technology area and list the modules which are important to that interest. For example, if you're into networking technologies, you should consider the "Electronic Communications" and "Network Services Implementation & Management" modules as they will both increase your knowledge and strenghten your skills in the networking area.

Hope that helps :) If not, you may either email me, call me, find me or msn me (eteoem@yahoo.com) to clarify further. Of course, you may choose to talk to Michael as well.
